How To Get Credit for Being In or Leading a Small Group - SPRING 2009

ALL FORMS ARE DUE BY WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22 AT 5PM. NO FORMS SUBMITTED AFTER THAT TIME WILL RECEIVE CREDIT.

If you have any difficulty with the forms come by the Spiritual Life House and fill out a hard copy.

For those who have attended a small group at least 7 times this semester click on link below to fill out the form and receive 4 credits.



For those who lead a small at least 7 times this this semester click on the link below to fill out the form and receive 6 credits.

FIRM FOUNDATION BIBLE STUDY

The Firm Foundation Bible Study will be lead by Mark Benjamin and about 12 other student leaders. This study is designed to be an intensive and systematic study of the core biblical foundations of the Christian faith. This is an amazing study!

This will happen in the PENN lobby from 9:45pm - 11:00pm (the night is yet to be determined) but it will be starting the week Sept 25-28th. I am ordering 100 copies of the book. The first 50 students to sign up will only pay $2 per book, the next 50 students will pay $4 per book (The regular price on the book is $15.95).

INFORMATION ON SMALL GROUP TRAINING...

Group leaders must sign up (see right column) no later that Friday September 12, 2008.

All leaders are required to attend the Small Group Leader Class held 8 consecutive Friday mornings starting on September 12th, 2008 from 10:35am-11:35am in Hoover 105.

After we complete the class, we will meet once a month for the remainder of the school year. Once signed up, you will receive further info from Mark Benjamin through email.

What do we do in Small Group Leader Training...

- We worship and pray

- We receive teaching on group-dynamics, how to lead a bible study, creating community, being a good facilitator, asking the right questions and more.

- We create small groups within the leaders to practice, model, and learn from one another.
